Tour description

Valparaíso is Chile's most romantic and rebellious city, a UNESCO-listed port where brightly painted houses cascade down steep hills laced with staircases, alleys and creaking Victorian funiculars. Beloved by poets and artists, it is one of the great street-art capitals of the world. On this walking tour a local guide leads you up into its colourful, poetic labyrinth.

You will ride a historic funicular, wander hillside lanes covered in murals, and take in sweeping views over the Pacific. Along the way you will hear about sailors, poets like Pablo Neruda, and the free-spirited soul of 'Valpo'. Bohemian and utterly captivating, Valparaíso is a city made for walking.
Meeting point:

Plaza Sotomayor, by the naval monument, Valparaíso
