Erfurt is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Germany, the capital of Thuringia, famous for the Krämerbrücke, a bridge lined with inhabited timber houses, and its dramatic twin churches on Cathedral Hill. Rich in Luther heritage, it is a delight to explore. On this walking tour a local guide reveals its history.\n\nYou will cross the unique inhabited Merchants' Bridge, wander the old town, and take in views of the great cathedral and church on the hill. Along the way you will hear about the medieval trade and Martin Luther, who studied here. Historic and beautiful, Erfurt is a wonderful city to explore on foot.
