Tour description
Trier is the oldest city in Germany, a former imperial Roman capital on the Moselle river with the greatest concentration of Roman monuments north of the Alps, including the mighty Porta Nigra gate. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it is a treasure of ancient history. On this walking tour a local guide reveals its heritage.
You will stand before the great Roman gate, wander the old town to the cathedral, and hear about the Roman emperors, the baths and the Moselle wine. Along the way you will discover the layers of history. Ancient and historic, Trier is a wonderful city to explore on foot.
