This is an ideal place to watch the sunrise and admire the vast beauty of the sea and sky. Visitors will then visit Giant Wax Gourd Village, which is famous for its enormous wax gourds weighing up to dozens of kilograms. The trip ends with an exciting experience at Tra O Lagoon Eco-tourism Area, a pristine ecological destination where visitors can immerse themselves in the peaceful scenery of the large lagoon, observe its diverse ecosystem, and enjoy local specialties.

Detailed itinerary
MORNING
05:30 Car and tour guide pick up the group at the meeting point. Then depart for Phu My to visit eco-tourism, community-based, and experiential attractions.
07:00 The group enjoys breakfast with the specialty Phu My Shrimp & Crab Noodle Soup, a famous delicacy of Phu My in particular and Binh Dinh in general (freshwater shrimp and crabs caught from Tra O Lagoon; the "rạm" crab looks similar to common crab but has plenty of yellow roe).
08:00 The first destination you visit is Mui Vi Rong (Dragon Fin Cape) – a mountain naturally carved and sculpted into the shape of a giant dragon.
You board a boat to sightsee, take photos of Mui Vi Rong, and snorkel to admire the coral reefs at Hon Dun Island (Hon Nuoc Island), as well as observe Terns firsthand – a bird species very familiar to local people at Hon Nhan Island, situated right next to Hon Dun Island. Hon Dun Island features crystal-clear, refreshing cool waters. Standing on the boat, you can see all the way to the bottom with colorful coral reefs, multi-layered and intact, and schools of vibrant fish swimming freely. In addition, you can take photos at Egg Beach (Bai Trung) on Hon Dun Island, a pebble beach comparable to the famous one at Ghenh Rang Tourist Area (Quy Nhon City).
10:30 You return to Bai Ngang – this is an area of fine white sand located adjacent to Mui Vi Rong with crystal-clear, very shallow water, interwoven between white sand and rock formations where children can play to their heart's content.
NOON:
11:55 You take a freshwater rinse, then enjoy lunch with fresh seafood dishes freshly caught and prepared by local fishing villagers for you to savor.
Seafood menu:
- Grilled Abalone (or Limpet) with scallion oil
- Steamed sea snails with lemongrass
- Tarwhine / Red Snapper simmered in savory broth served with fresh rice noodles (or steamed and wrapped in rice paper)
- Grilled shrimp
- Fresh squid steamed with ginger
- Steamed fresh blue swimmer crab (additional 50,000 VND per guest)
- Seafood porridge
- Rice paper, banh hoi (fine rice vermicelli) – fresh herbs

After lunch, you take a short rest before boarding the boat back to the mainland to visit the next tourist attraction.
AFTERNOON:
The next attraction you visit is the Giant Winter Melon Village. This is the only village in the entire country that cultivates this giant winter melon variety (the largest can reach a weight of 100 kg). The Giant Winter Melon Village belongs to Chanh Trach Village, My Tho Commune, Phu My District (Binh Dinh).
You will tour the winter melon garden, take photos, record videos, take selfies... Afterwards, you will enjoy fresh winter melon tea and candied winter melon made by the locals (organically grown winter melon). You can purchase winter melons and candied winter melon as souvenirs. (Benefits of winter melon: weight loss, skin beautification, body cooling, detoxification, heatstroke and heat exhaustion prevention, thirst quenching, prevention of boils, rashes, prickly heat, hypertension, and obesity...)
After taking photos and tasting winter melon juice, the Quy Nhon Tourist guide will take you to visit Binh Long Bamboo Bridge, which is more than 300 meters long. The bridge spans Tra O Lagoon with poetic scenery, surrounded by water on all sides. Scenes of locals rowing boats to cast fishing nets, harvesting sedge rush materials for weaving mats... However, the most thrilling experience here is crossing the bridge; walking across is already challenging, but crossing by motorbike is even more exciting—a sensation of both fear and thrill, and once across, you just want to cross it again.
15:00 Our group arrives to visit the Tra O Lagoon Eco-tourism Area. Here, visitors will experience authentic countryside living: rowing sampans, casting fishing nets, fishing, planting vegetables (sweet potato leaves, water spinach...), picking coconuts... With the fresh, cool air and gentle breezes blowing from the lagoon carrying the fragrance of ripening rice paddies, you will feel an indescribable sense of relaxation and return to fond childhood memories.
17:00 You dine on specialties characteristic of the freshwater lagoon, such as: Grilled/tamarind-glazed/garlic-sautéed "rạm" crabs, Featherback fish paste soup with bitter melon / Tra O Lagoon shrimp soup with giant winter melon, Braised snakehead fish with green bananas, Braised catfish with turmeric, Boiled water spinach / sweet potato leaves served with savory "rạm" crab broth, steamed white rice, dessert fruit, iced tea. After dinner, the group departs for Quy Nhon City, concluding the journey. Farewell and see you again!
