Detailed itinerary
07:30 Our vehicle and tour guide pick up guests at the meeting point and depart towards the north of Phu Yen. Along the way, we will stop at Ong Cop Wooden Bridge, known as the "longest wooden bridge in Vietnam" with a length of nearly 700m. The bridge is made mainly of wood and bamboo, with only the rivets made of iron. The bridge surface is only about 1.5 - 1.8m wide with alternating wooden planks. The deck and pillars are made entirely of wooden planks. After taking commemorative photos here,
The group continues to visit Nhat Tu Son Island – the trail across the sea. Nhat Tu Son is known as the most beautiful island in Xuan Dai Bay, located in Song Cau Town, Phu Yen Province, about 50 km from the center of Tuy Hoa City. The shape of the island resembles the Chinese character "One" (Nhat), as if nature's skillful hand drew a horizontal line across the blue sea with a brush, and perhaps that is how the name Nhat Tu Son came to be. The unique feature of Nhat Tu Son is the sandbar path crossing the sea to the island, submerged under water and only revealed as the tide recedes, creating a breathtaking and thrilling sight.
09:20 The group visits Mang Lang Church. With a history of nearly 120 years, Mang Lang Church is considered the oldest church in Phu Yen Province and one of the oldest churches in Vietnam. This place still preserves the first book printed in the modern Vietnamese script (Chu Quoc Ngu). This is the catechism book "Catechismus in octo dies divisus" (Eight-day Catechism) by Priest Alexandre de Rhodes (locally known as Father Dac Lo) – the pioneer of the Romanized Vietnamese script.
10:30 Next, the group visits the national scenic spot Ganh Da Dia (The Cliff of Stone Plates) – a collection of prism-shaped basalt columns packed closely together, overlapping next to the crashing waves. The rocky area stretches out densely in a mysterious black shade. Some columns stand upright, while others lean tilted yet remain piled layer upon layer like a stack of plates, hence the name Ganh Da Dia.
11:30 The group has lunch at O Loan Lagoon, enjoying fresh and delicious seafood specialties, relaxing and taking a break.
13:30 The group departs for Bai Xep – one of the picturesque filming locations from the movie "Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass". Free time for swimming and relaxing at the beach.
15:30 Depart back to Tuy Hoa City.
16:00 Arrive back at the initial pick-up point.
End of the 1-day Phu Yen Tour visiting Vietnam's longest wooden bridge, Ong Cop – Nhat Tu Son Island. We look forward to seeing you again on future journeys.
