Detailed itinerary
HCMC - MY THO - BEN TRE - CHAU DOC (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
In the morning, depart at 7:15 AM from the company office for My Tho, stopping for breakfast at Binh Chanh Rest Stop.
Next, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda - one of the famous ancient pagodas of the Mekong Delta with unique architecture. The vehicle will then transfer the group to My Tho Marina tourist pier to board a cruise along the Tien River to view floating houses along with fish cages, and listen to the history of the four islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix (Long, Lan, Quy, Phung).
Arrive at Thoi Son Islet - visit the island fruit orchards, see honey bee hives, and learn how honey is harvested. Stop to enjoy complimentary cups of fragrant hot honey tea and learn about products made from honey, royal jelly, bee pollen, etc. Afterward, proceed to the garden house area to relax, enjoy complimentary fresh fruits, and listen to traditional southern folk music (Don Ca Tai Tu).
After that, head to the boat pier for a hand-rowed sampan ride along shaded canals beneath lush coconut canopies to the river mouth, then board a larger boat to continue to Ben Tre to visit a Ben Tre coconut candy workshop and see various handcrafted coconut products. Proceed to a countryside restaurant for lunch and relax in hammocks. Then board the boat back to the pier. Then, the car will take you to Chau Doc Market, followed by a stop at the bank of the Chau Giang River to take photos with the Basa Fish Monument, the symbol of Chau Doc City. Afterward, continue the journey to the Sam Mountain tourist area to visit Tay An Pagoda, Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb, and Ba Chua Xu Temple.
The vehicle continues to take you to visit Tra Su Cajuput Forest, home to the most beautiful submerged cajuput forest ecosystem in Southeast Asia. You will check in at the picturesque Tra Su pier featuring many unique miniature landscapes and take photos at the Tra Su Kieu Bridge spanning the river at the entrance to the forest. The tour guide will lead you to visit the "Ten-Thousand-Step Bamboo Bridge" winding through the forest, where you can stroll into the lush green cajuput forest amidst stunning landscapes. The water surface is covered in vibrant green duckweed, like giant carpets blanketing the entire forest. In the cool air, you will feel an indescribably pleasant sensation as life slows down, leaving behind everyday worries to enjoy a refreshing feeling amid wonderful wild nature.
Here, you can witness bold birds foraging on the floating green duckweed, as well as flocks of storks, herons, and moorhens gliding and chirping in the green cajuput canopies and over the water surface. After exploring around, you will return to the pier. A rowboat will take you on a tour into the lush green cajuput clearing deep in the forest, as large as a full-size football pitch, offering plenty of great spots for photos. The boat then continues along the sole waterway through the cajuput forest to the next stop to take photos of the bridge across the canal bank. Afterwards, head to the restaurant area for lunch. You can buy fruit directly from the boats on the floating market, visit a traditional noodle-making workshop and local specialty dry goods stores, and then return to the hotel for breakfast. Afterwards, the vehicle takes the group to visit the Hung Kings Temple in Can Tho.
Next, the bus takes the group to the pier on the north bank of the Hau River to board a boat to Con Son, a lush green islet nestled in the Hau River featuring four-season fruit orchards – a peaceful land emerging amidst the Hau River, surrounded by mangrove apple trees and water on all sides. Here, you can check in amidst the lush orchard scenery. You will enjoy unique experiences such as watching the "flying snakehead fish," rowing a traditional sampan, sipping lotus tea, taking photos in pomelo, guava, longan, and rambutan orchards, and posing by ponds of pink lotuses and giant water lilies (Victoria amazonica).
