Tour description
Ratanakiri, located in the far northeast of Cambodia and bordering Vietnam and Laos, is a red-soil highland region with dense forests, waterfalls, and many ethnic minority communities such as the Tampuan, Kreung, Jarai, and Brao. It is a destination for those looking to escape the usual tourist routes.
Ratanakiri’s symbol is Yeak Laom Lake – a clear, round lake located in the crater of a volcano that went extinct approximately 700,000 years ago, surrounded by virgin forest and managed by the Tampuan community. You can also cool off in waterfalls amid the forest, take a boat along the Sesan River to Veun Sai – home to Lao and Chinese villages and a traditional Kreung cemetery with carved wooden statues.
The itinerary allows for a leisurely pace, suitable for nature and local culture lovers.
