Tour description
Eastern Cambodia is a completely different world from Angkor: the mighty Mekong with its rare freshwater dolphins, and the Mondulkiri Plateau with rolling grasslands, pine forests, waterfalls, and Bunong villages – home to Indigenous people who have lived alongside elephants for hundreds of years.
On the first day, a private vehicle takes you from Phnom Penh to Kratie. On the second day, you watch Irrawaddy dolphins at Kampi Pool before heading to Sen Monorom – a small town at an altitude of approximately 800 meters. The third day is devoted to an elephant conservation project, where you walk through the forest following the elephant herd and observe their natural behavior (no elephant riding, no elephant bathing), then visit Bou Sra Waterfall – one of the largest waterfalls in Cambodia. On the final day, you watch the sunrise over the “Sea Forest” hill before returning to Phnom Penh.
This is a private tour with an air-conditioned vehicle, guide, and the best available hotels/eco-lodges at each destination.
