Tour description
Stroll through history on this free walking tour around Amsterdam's historic center and famous canals. Along with a local guide, you'll meet at bustling Dam Square, slip into hidden courtyards, and trace the UNESCO-listed canal ring past leaning gabled houses and countless bridges. Hear the story of how a marshland fishing village became the richest city of the Golden Age, discover the tales behind the Anne Frank House and the Jordaan district, and pick up recommendations for Dutch cheese, apple pie, and the coziest brown cafés. A charming, laid-back introduction to the city. Free to join — at the end of the tour, simply tip your guide whatever you feel it was worth.
