Ho Chi Minh City – Bac Lieu

VISIT BAC LIEU (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Morning: Arrive in Bac Lieu City, freshen up, and have breakfast.
Visit the Bac Lieu Prince’s House, built in 1919 and associated with the name of Trần Trinh Huy, the Bac Lieu Prince, who was the most famous figure in Cochinchina in the early 20th century. Upon entering the house, visitors will be captivated by its meticulous and sophisticated design, exuding luxury and elegance.
Hùng Vương Square is located right in the center of Bac Lieu and is considered the most beautiful square in the Mekong Delta. Take photos with the symbol of a traditional clamp-shaped musical instrument placed on a stylized five-petaled lotus.
Check in at Cao Văn Lầu Theater, also known as the Conical Hat Theater. The building features a unique design modeled on three conical hats joined together and is a symbol of Bac Lieu culture.
Visit the Memorial Site of Southern Vietnamese Traditional Music and Musician Cao Văn Lầu. The highlight of the site is the Moon Zither Monument. In addition, there is a garden of traditional musical instrument statues, an exhibition house for Southern Vietnamese traditional music and cải lương, a performance house for Southern Vietnamese traditional music, souvenir stalls, and more—places visitors should not miss.
The group visits and pays homage at the Quan Âm Phật Đài – Nam Hải Guanyin, built in 1973 near Nhà Mát estuary—a famous architectural, cultural, and spiritual site in Bac Lieu. The attraction is an imposing 11-meter-tall statue of Guanyin standing in an open space overlooking the East Sea.
Noon: Enjoy lunch at Hồ Nam Tourist Area. Guests are free to take photos with the decorative scenes arranged here. Enjoy the cool lakeside setting and flavorful dishes characteristic of the Mekong Delta. Then proceed to the hotel to check in.
Afternoon: Visit the Bac Lieu Wind Farm. Here, you can see turbine towers with blades rotating steadily like giant pinwheels against the sky. This is a favorite photography spot for many young visitors to Bac Lieu.
Visit Xiêm Cán Pagoda, a temple characteristic of the Khmer people in Bac Lieu. Visitors will be amazed by its many decorative motifs and patterns, along with highly distinctive carvings and sculptures.
Evening: Have dinner at a restaurant. Guests are free to explore Bac Lieu City at night. Discover the appealing food area at Bac Lieu Night Market, which offers many local specialties. Overnight in Bac Lieu.

The group takes a shuttle bus to Hung Thien Pagoda – Me Dong Hai, located in Hung Hoi Commune, Vinh Loi District, Bac Lieu Province, approximately 10 km from Bac Lieu City center. This site features a statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, locally known as Me Dong Hai, which is currently the largest of its kind in the Mekong Delta. Upon entering the pagoda’s three-entrance gate, visitors can see 32 standing and seated statues of Guanyin Buddha on both sides. These statues are considered manifestations of Guanyin Bodhisattva who appear to guide and save sentient beings, creating an impressive sight for visitors.
Continue to visit Ghositaram Pagoda. The pagoda’s main hall, the largest in Vietnam, was built in an ancient architectural style that harmoniously combines Theravada Khmer Buddhism with the quintessence of Vietnamese culture. The entire main hall is intricately carved and decorated with elaborate, unique patterns by skilled Khmer artisans, creating a cultural work imbued with national identity.
Noon: Have lunch at the restaurant. The group departs for Ho Chi Minh City. Along the way, visit and shop for Tan Hue Vien pia cakes, Lai Vung fermented pork rolls, and other local specialties, then continue the journey to Ho Chi Minh City.
