Tour description
Bhaktapur is the best-preserved ancient royal city in the Kathmandu Valley, a vibrant medieval metropolis with temple-lined squares, brick palaces, and traditional Newari craftsmanship. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, it feels like stepping back in time. On this walking tour, a local guide will unveil the city's heritage.
You will explore the magnificent Durbar Square, admire the soaring Nyatapola Temple, and stroll through the alleys of potters and woodcarvers. Along the way, you will hear about the kings of the Malla dynasty and the traditions of the Newari people. Ancient and richly atmospheric, Bhaktapur is a wonderful city to explore on foot.
