Detailed itinerary
Ca Mau City – Dat Mui – Check in at Vietnam’s southernmost coordinates (Lunch and dinner)
08:00 The tour guide picks up the group at Cay Duoc Roundabout – Ca Mau City (or an agreed meeting point in the city), beginning the approximately 100 km journey to Mui Ca Mau National Park in Dat Mui Commune, Ngoc Hien District.
11:00 Arrive at Mui Ca Mau National Park, a UNESCO-recognized world biosphere reserve, with up to 41,000 hectares of forest and diverse flora and fauna. In addition to exploring the forest, visitors can enjoy various activities here and take photos at the southernmost coordinates of Vietnam, at the very end of the country.
12:00 Have lunch beside a stilt house featuring local specialties from Mui Ca Mau. Then check in and rest at the homestay stilt house.
15:00 – 18:30 Board a boat to explore the alluvial flats, cape, and sandy beach; harvest seafood and plant mangrove forests on the alluvial flats; go fishing; and participate in unique hands-on activities, including catching razor clams, digging for blood cockles, mussels, and clams, catching mudskippers, and catching three-striped crabs. In particular, try your skill at riding a “mong” on the alluvial flats, sliding on a thin board designed with a handle and storage compartment.
18:30 – 19:00 Return to the homestay and begin paddling a sampan through the homestay’s enclosed mangrove area to catch three-striped crabs. Enjoy local giác fruit wine (5%) with salt-roasted three-striped crabs.
19:30 Return to the homestay, rest, and have dinner.
22:00 Sleep in the stilt house in an enclosed, air-conditioned room (4–5 people; safe and clean).
