Detailed itinerary
HO CHI MINH CITY – HUE - KHAI DINH TOMB - THIEN MU PAGODA (Lunch, dinner)
Morning: Our tour guide will pick you up at Tan Son Nhat Airport and assist the group with check-in procedures to begin the 4-day, 3-night Hue–Da Nang tour. The group arrives at Phu Bai Airport in Hue. The vehicle will pick up the group and take them to lunch.
11:30 The group has lunch, then returns to the hotel for check-in and rest.
14:30 The vehicle picks up the group to visit Khai Dinh Tomb – the final architectural work of the Nguyen Dynasty and one of the most beautiful and unique tombs in the system of tombs in Hue, impressing visitors with various foreign architectural styles. The tomb is also called Ung Lang – the burial place of Emperor Khai Dinh, the 12th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty. Overall, the tomb combines various architectural styles from Hinduism, Buddhism, Roman, imperial, Gothic, and other traditions, reflecting the East–West cultural exchange of the period.
16:00 The group continues to visit and pay respects at Thien Mu Pagoda – officially established in 1601 during the reign of Lord Nguyen Hoang, when he came to govern Thuan Hoa, and located on Ha Khe Hill, about 5 km west of Hue city center. The most prominent feature within the pagoda grounds is Phuoc Duyen Tower, built in 1844. It is 21 m high, with seven tiers and eight sides, and was made using purely local materials: Thanh stone, Bat Trang bricks, Long Tho glazed decorative bricks, blue and yellow glazed roof tiles, along with a small amount of iron, copper, and wood.

Check out of the hotel and depart to visit Hue Imperial City, also known as the Imperial Enclosure: the residence and capital of the Nguyen Dynasty, which existed for 143 years under the reign of 13 emperors and was the country's last feudal dynasty, witnessing many ups and downs. Visitors will explore monumental architectural structures such as the Imperial City, Ngo Mon Gate, Forbidden Purple City, Thai Hoa Palace, The Mieu Temple, the Nine Dynastic Urns, the Museum of Royal Antiquities of Hue, and more. The tour guide will provide introductions so that visitors can better understand the emperors and the significance of these structures.
09:30 The group continues its journey to Da Nang. Visitors will explore Ba Na Hills Resort, located 30 km from the center of Da Nang. This is a distinctive ecological resort with four seasons in one day (spring in the morning, summer at noon, autumn in the afternoon, and winter at night), situated at an elevation of 1,487 m above sea level. Visitors will conquer the mountaintop by cable car, recognized by GUINNESS World Records for four records: the longest cable car route at 5,801 m, the greatest elevation difference at 1,368 m, the longest total cable length at 11,587 m, and the heaviest cable weighing 141.24 tons. The pagoda is situated on a 20-hectare site, facing the sea with the mountain at its back, offering an exceptionally picturesque view. The pagoda’s highlight is the 67-meter-tall statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, equivalent to a 17-story building. The lotus pedestal has a diameter of up to 35 meters, while the interior of the statue is 17 meters wide. Each level inside features an altar with the statues bearing the inscription "A Buddha within Buddha - Within Buddha is Buddha."
09:00 Continue the journey by vehicle to visit the Marble Mountains scenic and historical site: the five mountains—Kim Son, Thuy Son, Hoa Son, Moc Son, and Tho Son—rise like a protective hand over Da Nang. The Marble Mountains feature valuable historical and cultural architectural works such as Linh Ung Pagoda, Tam Thai Pagoda, and Quan The Am Pagoda, along with several ancient, mysterious caves. At the Marble Mountains, visitors also have the opportunity to admire artistic masterpieces made of stone from the famous Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village.
