Tour description
Dong Thap is a famous region known for its valuable historical and cultural sites, unique culinary art... and especially the Sa Dec ornamental flower village – the flower capital of the Mekong Delta. Sa Dec flower village (Dong Thap province) originated as Tan Quy Dong flower village, a traditional craft village over 100 years old. When visiting Sa Dec flower village, you will witness spectacular scenes with countless flower species displaying colors and emitting fragrant aromas. Lai Vung red tangerine orchard, also known as Tieu Son tangerine, is very famous. As soon as you step into the orchard, you feel like entering a fairy‑tale garden. The more you look, the more enchanted you become, because few fruits have such fresh, vibrant colors and aesthetic appeal as this Lai Vung red tangerine.

Detailed itinerary
Ho Chi Minh City - Sa Dec Flower Village - Lai Vung Pink Mandarin Garden - Lotus Leaf Pagoda - Ho Chi Minh City
Morning: Our vehicle will pick you up at the meeting point and depart for Dong Thap.
The group will have breakfast at a restaurant in the Trung Luong–My Tho area, featuring My Tho-style hu tieu. After that, continue the journey to explore and admire:
- Tan Quy Dong Ornamental Flower Village - Sa Dec Flower Village: A traditional craft village with more than a century of history, located along the Tien River and known as the land of ornamental flowers. It covers more than 510 hectares, with over 2,300 households cultivating 2,000 different varieties of flowers and ornamental plants, making it one of the largest flower-growing centers in the Mekong Delta and southern Vietnam. The village also attracts visitors with its spacious flower village cafés, beautifully decorated with three-leaf boats, cycle rickshaws, monkey bridges, thatched huts, and more, all adorned with lovely flowers.
Lunch: Enjoy lunch featuring Western Vietnamese specialties.
After lunch, continue sightseeing:
- Lai Vung Pink Mandarin Garden - known as the “Kingdom of Pink Mandarins,” with more than 2,000 hectares of mandarin orchards. Here, you can taste pink mandarins, enjoy fresh mandarin juice and sweet sugarcane tea, and take plenty of photos among the heavily laden trees, with some fruit hanging almost to the ground. You can also experience being a farmer harvesting mandarins and purchase them as gifts for your family and loved ones.
- Lotus Leaf Pagoda (Phuoc Kien Pagoda) was established before the reign of King Thieu Tri. Local people commonly call it “King Lotus Pagoda” because the temple pond is home to many giant lotus plants, known as king lotuses. In particular, mature lotus leaves can support weights of up to 140 kg, creating a fascinating experience for visitors. The flowers first bloom at around 6 p.m., releasing a fragrant scent, and begin to close at midnight the following day. At around 3 p.m., they bloom again and close their petals at approximately 4–5 p.m. Initially white and pink, the flowers become slightly darker each time they bloom and turn deep purple when they wither. Visitors can enjoy taking unique photos while standing on the king lotus leaves.
Afternoon: The group departs for Ho Chi Minh City. On the way back, stop to purchase local specialties as gifts for family and loved ones. Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, the tour ends. See you again.
Note:
- The order of sightseeing destinations may be changed depending on actual conditions while still ensuring that all scheduled activities are carried out.
