Detailed itinerary
MORNING
05:00 The vehicle and tour guide pick you up at the meeting point. Depart for Dong Thap.
07:00 Stop for breakfast at Mekong Rest Stop restaurant in Tien Giang. After breakfast, continue the journey to Dong Thap. Along the way, admire My Thuan Bridge – the largest cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam.
09:00 Arrive in Sa Dec, Dong Thap. Visit:
- Sa Dec Flower Village: known as the land of ornamental flowers. In the days leading up to Tet, visitors can admire a rich variety of flowers and colors, including roses, chrysanthemums, celosias, dahlias, firecracker flowers, and more.
- Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House: featuring unique architecture combining Eastern and Western styles. The local tour guide will introduce you to the background and career of Huynh Thuy Le’s family, as well as his romantic relationship with Marguerite Duras, portrayed in the film “The Lover,” which began filming in 1991.
NOON
Have lunch at a local restaurant.
Continue the journey to Lai Vung to visit:
- Lai Vung Pink Tangerine Garden: the pink tangerines here are grown and cultivated by Dong Thap farmers according to VietGAP standards. Visit, experience, taste, and purchase tangerines as gifts.
- Visit Phuoc Kien Pagoda: local residents commonly call it “Lotus Leaf Pagoda” because the temple pond is home to giant water lilies with enormous leaves. You can stand on the lotus leaves to take commemorative photos.
AFTERNOON
Depart for Ho Chi Minh City. The vehicle takes you back to the original pickup point.
End of the program. See you again!
