07:00 The vehicle and tour guide pick up guests at the hotel. Then depart for Sa Dec to begin the one-day Tram Chim tour from Can Tho.
The group will get lost in the flower kingdom of the Mekong Delta at Tan Quy Dong Ornamental Flower Village – the colorful Sa Dec Flower Village. More than 2,000 households grow various ornamental flowers for domestic and international markets. In particular, before Tet each year, thousands of tourists come here to buy flowers and take photos among the vibrant blooms that brighten a corner of the Mekong Delta.
Visit Kien An Cung Pagoda. This distinctly Chinese-style pagoda, which is more than 100 years old, attracts many visitors who come to worship. The pagoda has beautiful architecture and is especially important to the Chinese community in Dong Thap.
Visit Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House. This house has attracted extensive media coverage. It is famous both in Vietnam and abroad for being associated with the romantic love story of its owner, portrayed in the novel The Lover (L’amant), written by French author Marguerite Duras and later adapted into a film of the same name.
10:30 The vehicle and tour guide take guests to Tam Nong to visit Tram Chim in Dong Thap Muoi.
Noon: Guests arrive at a local homestay and enjoy a countryside meal. Afterward, guests are free to take photos at the Dong Thap Lotus Field. The group then has free time to rest.
14:00 Guests depart to visit Tram Chim National Park in Tam Nong. Here, guests explore the Melaleuca forest ecosystem by taking a motorboat ride around the forest to admire the scenery and observe birds.
This place vividly recreates the wetland forest system of the Mekong Delta in the past. The group will weave through forest channels and admire lotus ponds filled with a fragrant scent. The floating-water season in the Mekong Delta is the most beautiful time to visit Tram Chim National Park.
At the observation tower, the group can admire panoramic views of the immense Melaleuca forest and flocks of birds flying freely across the sky.
In the middle of the forest, guests stop to rest and freely sample and learn about some local lotus specialties: lotus tea, lotus milk, dried lotus seeds, and more. (Expenses are at your own cost.)
16:00 Saying goodbye to the “Land of Pink Lotus,” guests depart to return to Can Tho City.
Afternoon: Upon arriving in Can Tho City, the vehicle and tour guide take guests back to the original meeting point, ending the one-day Tram Chim Dong Thap Muoi tour. Before saying goodbye, the tour guide, on behalf of the company, bids guests farewell and looks forward to welcoming them again on future Mekong Delta tours.
