Its famous shell-shaped main square hosts the Palio, the most thrilling horse race in the world. On this walking tour a local guide reveals its beauty and fierce local pride.\n\nYou will stand in the sloping Piazza del Campo, admire the striped marble cathedral, and hear about the medieval rivalry with Florence and the passionate contrade districts that compete in the Palio.
