Tour description
Gdańsk is one of the most beautiful and historically significant cities in Poland, a major Baltic seaport with a magnificent Hanseatic Old Town and a prominent role in the events that shaped modern Europe. On this walking tour, a local guide will lead you along grand merchant streets and tell you the city’s dramatic story.
You will stroll along the elegant Long Market beneath elaborately decorated façades, hear about the amber trade and the wealthy merchants who built the city, and learn how the Second World War began and how the Solidarity movement was born here. Colourful, resilient and full of character, Gdańsk is a wonderful city to explore on foot.
