Once home to emperors for centuries, it preserves some of Asia’s most awe-inspiring structures. On this walking tour, a local guide will reveal the city’s vibrant history and culture.
You will stand in the vast Tiananmen Square, approach the walls of the Forbidden City, and stroll through the atmospheric hutong alleys of old Beijing. Stop 4 – Jingshan Ascent: Hilltop park with panoramic views of the imperial palace.
Stop 5 – Hutong Alleys: The narrow lanes of old Beijing.
Stop 6 – Bell and Drum Towers: The timekeepers of the old city.
Stop 7 – Old Town Viewpoint: We finish with stories of imperial Beijing.
