Girona is one of the most beautiful cities in Catalonia, famous for its colorful houses lining the riverbank, one of the best-preserved Jewish quarters in Europe, and its magnificent cathedral reached by an imposing staircase. Rich in historical traditions, Girona has also become famous as a filming location. On this walking tour, a local guide will introduce you to the city’s heritage.
You will admire the colorful riverside houses, stroll through the medieval Jewish quarter, and make your way up to the cathedral. Along the way, you will hear about Jewish history, sieges, and Catalan culture. Beautiful and rich in history, Girona is a wonderful city to explore on foot.
