Tour description
Guadalajara is the proud capital of the state of Jalisco and the birthplace of two of Mexico’s greatest icons: mariachi music and tequila. A magnificent colonial city with elegant plazas, soaring churches, and world-class murals, it is considered the city with the strongest ‘Mexican’ character. On this walking tour, a local guide will reveal the city’s history and traditions.
You will admire the twin-towered cathedral, stroll through a series of beautiful plazas, and hear the stories behind Orozco’s murals, mariachi musicians, and the surrounding tequila region. Along the way, you will discover the distinctive culture that shapes western Mexico. Both grand and vibrant, Guadalajara is a wonderful city to explore on foot.
