Sa Pa is Vietnam’s famous mountain town, once a hill station during the French colonial period, perched in the northwestern highlands amid spectacular terraced rice fields and a vibrant blend of ethnic minority cultures. Cool and misty, it is the gateway to some of the country’s most beautiful natural landscapes. On this walking tour, a local guide will take you to explore the town and discover its distinctive local culture.
You will meet at the Old Stone Church, stroll around the bustling market, and admire panoramic views of the terraced valleys. Along the way, you will learn about the H'Mong, Dao, and other highland ethnic groups, as well as the history of the French colonial-era hill station. Rich in natural beauty and culture, Sa Pa is a wonderful town to explore on foot.
