Tour description
Salalah is the lush capital of Oman's southern Dhofar region, an ancient centre of the frankincense trade that has drawn merchants for thousands of years. Green during the monsoon and rich in heritage, it offers a very different side of Arabia. On this walking tour a local guide reveals its history and culture.\n\nYou will wander the historic Al Husn souk famous for frankincense, see the sultan's palace, and hear about the incense trade that made the region legendary. Along the way you will discover the distinctive Dhofari culture. Historic and fragrant, Salalah is a rewarding city to explore on foot.
