Ohrid is one of the oldest and most beautiful towns in the Balkans, a UNESCO World Heritage gem situated on the shores of one of Europe’s deepest and oldest lakes. Once said to have had 365 churches, it is a treasure trove of Byzantine art and ancient heritage. On this walking tour, a local guide will reveal the town’s beauty and history.
You will stroll through the Old Town, passing Ottoman-era churches and houses, visit ancient lakeside chapels, and admire breathtaking views over the shimmering lake. Along the way, you will hear stories about the saints, scholars, and empires that helped shape the town. Peaceful and steeped in history, Ohrid is a wonderful town to explore on foot.

Stop 6 – Ancient Theatre: The Hellenistic theatre of the Old Town.
Stop 7 – Fortress Viewpoint: End the journey with panoramic views of the lake and the Old Town.
