Tour description

Yokohama is Japan’s second-largest city and the country’s historic gateway to the world, where Japan’s port first opened to foreign trade in the 19th century. Today, the city combines a futuristic modern waterfront with historic neighborhoods and Japan’s largest Chinatown. On this walking tour, a local guide will help you discover the city’s history and vibrant spirit.

You will stroll along the impressive Minato Mirai waterfront, visit historic red-brick warehouses, and explore the lively Chinatown. Along the way, you will hear about Japan’s opening to the world and the multicultural history of the port. Both modern and rich in history, Yokohama is a city well worth exploring on foot.
