A leisurely day of cycling to discover a very different Hanoi: alluvial plains planted with bananas, corn, and vegetables, small dirt trails along the dyke, rice paddies, and peaceful village pagodas just a few kilometers from the Old Quarter.
The journey begins on the century-old Long Bien Bridge, passes through banana plantations along the Red River, and leads to Bat Trang pottery village – where the craft of pottery making has been preserved for over a thousand years. You will visit a local family for tea and conversation (translated by your guide), savor a rustic home-cooked lunch, and in the afternoon continue pedaling through riverside villages, take a local ferry across the Red River, and enjoy an egg coffee before returning to your hotel.

8:00 – Pick-up: The tour guide picks you up at your hotel and takes you to the shop to choose a bicycle, adjust the saddle, and receive a safety briefing.
Leg 1 – Crossing the Red River: Cycle across the French-built Long Bien Bridge, taking in panoramic views of the Red River, passing boats, and the river island.
Leg 2 – Banana plantations and Bat Trang Ceramic Village: Ride along dirt paths through banana groves and riverside rice paddies to the thousand-year-old pottery village; visit kilns, ceramic workshops, ancient alleys, and the pottery market.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours are non-refundable. The tour runs rain or shine (rain ponchos provided); in the event of hazardous weather conditions, the tour will be rescheduled or fully refunded.
Other notes
The route covers about 45 km on flat and village roads; basic physical fitness and cycling skills are required. Lightweight clothing, sports shoes, and sunscreen are recommended. Private tour price: 99 USD/person.
