Traveling to Ha Giang, visitors will experience a life close to nature with golden rice fields on terraced hills, vast white mustard flower fields, majestic mountain ranges, and endless rivers and streams. Dong Van Karst Plateau in Ha Giang boasts stunning scenery and was once the setting for the film “The Story of Pao.” Dong Van – Quan Ba Karst Plateau is considered a harsh rocky region, but also a miraculous beauty of the Heaven’s Gate stone land. The people of Ha Giang say that if you visit Dong Van but haven’t set foot on the top of Lung Cu, it’s as if you haven’t truly arrived, simply because Lung Cu is considered the place where “bowing your head touches the earth, raising your face meets the sky.” From the top of Lung Cu, winding through mountain passes, you’ll reach the architectural relic of the Vuong family’s palace.

Detailed itinerary
HANOI – QUAN BA – YEN MINH – DONG VAN / MEO VAC (Lunch, dinner)
5:30 a.m. The vehicle and tour guide will pick you up at No. 3 Hai Ba Trung Street, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi (breakfast at your own expense). Depart for Ha Giang – a land known for Shan tea, honey wine, and thắng cố, and the home of pale peach blossoms, pear blossoms, tradition, and lively market days…
Along the way, you can admire the majestic and pristine mountainous forests of Northeast Vietnam. The vehicle will stop for breaks along the route, allowing you to relax and take souvenir photos. Stop in Ha Giang City for lunch at a restaurant, where you can enjoy local specialties such as stream fish, sticky rice, and five-color glutinous rice.
Afterward, travel through the vast pine forests, considered the most beautiful in Vietnam, stretching across the high mountain slopes, to Yen Minh Town.
Continue to Dong Van District to admire the beauty of the Stone Plateau, recognized by UNESCO as a Global Geopark in 2010.
You may stop to visit:
– Tham Ma Pass – winding, twisting mountain roads resembling a strip of silk flowing gently along the mountain slopes.
– Pho Cao and Sung La, entering Lung Cam Cultural Village, the setting for the famous film “The Story of Pao.” In winter and spring, the fields bloom with yellow mustard flowers or Tet peach blossoms, creating ideal scenes for romantic photos rich in cultural character. Take photos amid the vast, poetic spring flower gardens.
The group will then continue by vehicle to Dong Van Ancient Town/Mèo Vạc. Check in at the hotel, have dinner, and freely explore Dong Van Ancient Town/Mèo Vạc at night.

Wake up early, have breakfast, and check out. The vehicle takes you toward Mèo Vạc along the Nho Quế River. You will visit:
The majestic landscape of Mã Pí Lèng, one of the four great mountain passes in the northern highlands, stretching along the emerald Nho Quế River as it flows through the Tu Sản mountain gorge. Along the way, stop to take photos at the Youth Monument in front of the Happiness Road Museum and admire the panoramic view of the Nho Quế River from above. You may choose, at your own expense, to visit the Mã Pí Lèng Panorama Café or take a boat trip along the Nho Quế River to admire the Tu Sản Gorge.
After lunch, visit:
– The mansion of H’Mong King Vương Chí Sình, featuring unique architecture and fascinating stories.
– Lũng Cú – the northernmost point of the Fatherland, also described as: “Where you bow your head to touch the earth and raise your head to touch the sky.” Visit the national flag tower and take commemorative photos. From Lũng Cú Flag Tower, you can admire the beautiful terraced fields interspersed with the rammed-earth houses of the Lô Lô people in Séo Lủng Village below.

– Kilometer Zero Marker: marking the starting point of the Happiness Road connecting Ha Giang with the four districts of the rocky plateau
– Ha Thanh Village, approximately 6 km from the city center. This is a village inhabited by the Tay ethnic people. Guests admire the unique architecture of the stilt houses and learn about the cultural life of the Tay community. The group then boards the vehicle and travels to Tuyen Quang City for lunch at a restaurant.
– Guests stop to rest and shop for local mountain specialties, including Shan Tuyet tea, Bac Ha honey, smoked buffalo meat, shiitake mushrooms, and dried bamboo shoots.
The vehicle and tour guide take guests back to Hanoi.
The group arrives at the original pickup point, says goodbye to guests, and concludes the program.
