The Quy Nhon Science Discovery Center is the first space science center in Vietnam and the second in Southeast Asia (after Singapore). The half-day tour of the Quy Nhon Science Discovery Center offers an educational and enjoyable experience for the whole family, especially families with young children who love exploring. At the Quy Nhon Science Discovery Center, you and your family members will participate in interactive activities and experience scientific principles firsthand through vivid and fascinating models. MORNING / AFTERNOON:
Morning 08:00/Afternoon 14:00 The vehicle and tour guide pick you up at the meeting point in Quy Nhon City and depart for the Quy Nhon Science Discovery Center – the first science discovery center in Vietnam.
08:30 / 14:30 Arrive at ExploraScience Quy Nhon. After taking check-in photos outside, you will follow the guide inside to prepare to explore the science center through the presentation of the on-site guide.
You will visit and experience all the rooms in the central area of the main building, including:
+ Solar System Room:
At the center of the main building, this room locates us in the universe, both in space and time. The room’s main attraction is the Omniglobe planetary simulation sphere, along with more than thirty “stories” about Earth and the Solar System.
Along the curved walls is a timeline depicting important milestones in the history of the universe, beginning with the Big Bang and continuing through the formation of the Solar System. You can also learn about the history of the universe by looking into a “well” of memories – the Big Bang Well.
+ Universe Theater, in cooperation with the Rennes Science Museum, France:
After your eyes become accustomed to the darkness in the Solar System Room, you can recline in the seats of the Universe Theater, which is 6 meters high and 12 meters in diameter. The high-performance real-time control system enables ExploraScience Quy Nhon to create interactive shows tailored to your needs. These will be visually engaging films covering a wide range of scientific topics.
+ Room 1 – Exploring Matter, in cooperation with CERN – Europe:
In this room, you will learn about the structure of matter through the ancient, pre-modern, and modern periods. The content is designed and displayed on a curved wall, presenting the complete history of discoveries concerning the structure of matter.
The room’s most fascinating exhibit – the LIT (Large Hadron Collider Interactive Tunnel) – was developed by CERN. It is a series of high-tech games that demonstrates the great ideas of particle physicists and their ingenious methods of turning ideas into reality.
+ Room 2 – Earth and Natural Resources:
Human impacts on Earth, vulnerability, and ways to protect the environment are the themes of this room. At its center is an interactive scale model designed by ExploraScience Quy Nhon to simulate various forms of renewable energy. The most successful projects in the world and in Vietnam are presented to illustrate the topics discussed.
In addition, the room provides information on reducing plastic waste through the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
+ Room 3 – Space Exploration Room:
For visitors who love space exploration and are interested in the history and development of today’s space technology industry, the “Space Exploration” room is a must-visit destination.
This room is divided into several sections covering different topics and provides visitors with a wealth of fascinating knowledge. In addition, young visitors can take part in hands-on activities and calculations in each section.
+ Room 4 – Multipurpose Exhibition Room – Exploring Mars:
You will travel to a new land – “Mars” – and begin exploring its characteristics through highly visual, interactive multimedia models and full-scale models.
+ Room 5: “Learn Through Play!” Room:
In this room, you are free to explore and experience the scientific models in your own way. These models are impressive, unique, and even strange, but all are connected to the theorems and principles learned at school. You will see that these principles become easy to remember, easy to understand, and as natural as their very nature. This room is particularly suitable for school and university students!
Moving from the outside inward, you will experience a series of game models such as the arch bridge, fast or slow, color mixing, vision, electricity, heat, tornadoes, telescopes, bicycles, and more.
+ Room 6: “Why Does This Happen?” Room:
This area features live demonstrations of fascinating physics shows about static electricity and high-voltage electricity, creating sounds and surprising effects for visitors.
After visiting all the rooms in the center, you will have additional time to take check-in photos in the rooms. Then, return outside and gather together.
