HALONG CITY – HANOI (BREAKFAST, LUNCH)
Morning: Have a buffet breakfast at the hotel. Suggested morning activities in Halong are as follows:
- Freely walk to Bai Chay Beach for swimming
- Register for a tour to Yen Tu – Dong Pagoda. Explore one of Vietnam’s largest Buddhist centers (please contact us to book the service at least by the afternoon of the previous day to receive a quotation). If you visit Yen Tu, you will check out of the hotel immediately after breakfast to depart for Yen Tu. After completing the sightseeing program in Yen Tu, you will have lunch at a restaurant, after which the tour guide will take you to the pick-up point for the vehicle back to Hanoi.
11:00 Check out of the hotel, have lunch at the hotel, and rest.
Afternoon: Choose one of the following two options:
Continue enjoying free time at Halong Park, as the park currently opens only in the afternoon.
A car will pick you up at the hotel to start the Halong City tour, available for a minimum of 4 guests:
- Enjoy views of Bai Chay Bridge from the vehicle. This is a single-plane cable-stayed bridge with a prestressed reinforced-concrete box girder. The two bridge towers are placed on extremely large pneumatic caisson foundations, applying this technology in Vietnam for the first time with modern, advanced construction methods. The bridge was built using the balanced cantilever construction method. At the main piers, 50 meters above the ground, the bridge girders extended out over the sea and construction was completed when the two cantilever sections were connected. This construction technology ensured that boats could continue operating normally throughout the construction process.
- Visit the Quang Ninh Museum. The Quang Ninh Museum was inspired by coal, Quang Ninh’s characteristic mineral resource, and designed by Spanish architect Salvador Perez Arroyo. The Quang Ninh Museum and Library is considered a remarkable cultural project and a lasting landmark of the famous Halong Bay scenic area. It is also a monumental architectural complex with the province’s largest investment value—over VND 900 billion—and the first official museum built in Quang Ninh Province.
- Take photos (from the outside) at the Dolphin Palace, the affectionate name for the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair, Exhibition and Cultural Palace. The Dolphin Palace was honored as one of the 10 construction projects and buildings worldwide recognized at the 2019 International Architecture Awards in Chicago. It is considered an outstanding structure with monumental architecture and an innovative design. Experts have praised it as a beautiful, unique project that harmonizes with the space along the shore of Halong Bay, a World Natural Heritage Site. The “Dolphin Palace” is expected to become a unique and attractive new destination for domestic and international visitors to Halong.
- Enjoy views from the vehicle of the beautiful Tran Quoc Nghien coastal road along the shore of the heritage bay.
- Visit the Duc Ong Tran Quoc Nghien Temple. Hung Vu Vuong Tran Quoc Nghien was the eldest son of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan and the nephew of King Tran Thai Tong. In 1282, he married Princess Thien Thuy and became the son-in-law of King Tran Thanh Tong. He was a talented general skilled in both military and civil affairs, a devoted son, and a loyal subject. The temple is located on the shore of Halong Bay.
- Conclude the Halong City program by relaxing over coffee at Gio Coffee, which offers panoramic views of Halong Bay and the boats.
Please note: The Halong City program is an open program that includes only transportation for sightseeing and does not include expenses such as entrance tickets and personal expenses. A tour guide may not accompany the group.
17:00 Board the vehicle and return to Hanoi via Vietnam’s most beautiful expressway.
20:30 - 21:00 Arrive in Hanoi. End of the program. See you again!
IMPORTANT NOTES THAT GUESTS SHOULD CLEARLY UNDERSTAND: The timing of the Halong Bay visit may be adjusted according to the weather conditions each day, at the discretion of the Halong Bay Management Board. In some cases, departures may be suddenly prohibited due to strong winds or thunderstorms without prior notice. We hope you will kindly accept and understand!
For guests with early flights or who wish to return to Hanoi early, please inform the tour guide in advance on the first day of the tour so that we can proactively arrange transportation back to Hanoi after lunch on the second day.
