Detailed itinerary
HANOI – CAN THO – SOC TRANG – BAC LIEU – CA MAU (Lunch, dinner)
Morning: The tour guide and driver will pick you up at the meeting point in the city center and transfer you to Noi Bai International Airport. With the assistance of the tour guide, you will complete the necessary procedures for flight VJ469, departing at 7:30 for Can Tho International Airport.
9:40: Land at Can Tho International Airport. Proceed to the arrival hall, where the tour guide and driver will welcome you and transfer you by vehicle to begin your journey exploring Can Tho and Ca Mau.
The vehicle will take you to Soc Trang. Along the way, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, continue to Soc Trang.
Upon arrival in Soc Trang, visit the ancient Khmer pagodas:
- Buu Son Pagoda: Also known as Clay Pagoda. With thousands of large and small clay statues, including the pagoda columns, all made of clay, the pagoda has a unique beauty and character. In particular, the pagoda has eight candles with a total weight of up to 1.4 tons, which have been burning for a hundred years.
- Ma Toc Pagoda: This pagoda was established 400 years ago in Soc Trang. It houses many precious treasures, including Buddha statues and statues of the four sacred creatures: Dragon, Qilin, Tortoise, and Phoenix. The pagoda is also known as Bat Pagoda, as it is home to millions of bats. The bats here generally have wingspans of 1–1.2 meters, while some larger ones have wingspans of up to 1.5 meters.
Board the vehicle and travel to Bac Lieu, visiting the following attractions:
- Bac Lieu Prince’s House: The most famous person in the Mekong Delta and Saigon during the 1930s and 1940s, renowned for his extravagant spending, famously described as “burning money like burning paper,” a phrase still mentioned today.
- The memorial area dedicated to musician Cao Van Lau and Southern Vietnamese amateur music: This site displays and preserves documents and works outlining the family background and career of musician Cao Van Lau, recognizing his significant contributions and honoring his dedication to the art of Don Ca Tai Tu. He composed the famous song Da Co Hoai Lang, considered the forerunner of vọng cổ songs performed on cải lương stages.
Afterward, continue by vehicle to Ca Mau. Upon arrival in Ca Mau, the driver will take you to the hotel to complete check-in procedures and rest.

Take a speedboat past various places before reaching Cà Mau Cape: Năm Căn, Ngọc Hiền, Đầm Cùng, Xóm Mũi… Travel along canals, small waterways, and vast, lush mangrove forests to reach the southernmost point of the country.
Visit and take commemorative photos at the coordinate landmark—the southernmost point of Vietnam—Cà Mau Cape, and the lighthouse. You will also listen to and learn about the gradual seaward expansion of the cape.
Take the speedboat back to Cà Mau City. The driver will take you to a restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, board the vehicle and depart for the return journey to Can Tho.

Continue to the fruit orchard tourist site at Khoi My Rest Stop and begin exploring the fruit gardens:
- You can borrow or rent bicycles to ride along country roads, visit the experience area, and learn how to make traditional cakes with many rustic varieties enjoyed by people in the Western region. Visit the process and workshop for making bánh xèo.
- You can borrow bà ba clothing and visit the fruit orchard, where trees are laden with ripe, juicy fruits depending on the season. You can also pick the fruits yourself and purchase them as gifts.
