Tour description
Kampot and Kep are a peaceful pair of coastal destinations, famous for Kampot pepper – a pepper protected by geographical indication and favored by chefs around the world – as well as their renowned crab stir-fried with green peppercorns.
In the morning, visit a pepper farm to learn how black, red, and white pepper is grown and sorted, taste each variety, and buy pepper directly from the source. Next, visit the coastal salt fields, where locals rake salt by hand during the dry season, and Phnom Chhngok Cave Temple, featuring a pre-Angkorian brick temple located inside a limestone cave.
At noon, head to Kep Crab Market to watch the crab-filled bamboo baskets being pulled up from the sea, then enjoy a seafood lunch featuring Kampot green pepper crab by the seaside. In the afternoon, relax at Kep Beach before returning.
