Kilkenny is Ireland's finest medieval city, a beautifully preserved town with narrow cobbled 'slips', a majestic castle, and a magnificent cathedral, all built from the local black limestone that earned it the name 'Marble City'. On this walking tour, a local guide will unravel the city's history.
You will start beneath the magnificent castle, stroll through the ancient laneways of the Medieval Mile, and admire St Canice's Cathedral. Along the way, you will hear tales of Norman lords, witch trials, and traditional brewing heritage. Full of charm and rich in history, Kilkenny is a wonderful city to explore on foot.
