Tour description
Nuremberg openly displays its long and layered history: an imperial city of the Holy Roman Empire, the hometown of the artist Dürer, and a place that confronts its 20th-century past with rare honesty. Surrounded by medieval walls and dominated by its imperial castle, the city’s Old Town is one of the most atmospheric in Germany. On this walking tour, a local guide will bring the entire story to life.
You’ll climb toward the magnificent castle, stroll through alleys lined with half-timbered houses, and stop at the famous market square, home to Germany’s most beloved Christmas market. Rich, walkable, and steeped in history, Nuremberg offers a journey through the heights and depths of European history.
