Detailed itinerary
07:00 Our vehicle and guide will pick you up at the meeting point and depart for a tour and offering ceremony at Hung Temple – the ancestral land of the Vietnamese people. On the way, the vehicle will stop at a rest stop so you can take a break and have breakfast (at your own expense) for approximately 15–20 minutes. The group will then continue the journey.
09:00 The group arrives at Hung Temple. Begin the Hung Temple Tour. You will proceed to offer incense at the Ancestral Land and visit the relic site of the greatest historical value to our people, visit the Hung Vuong Museum, and listen to an introduction to the history of the establishment and development of Van Lang, the first national state of our country.
12:00 Enjoy lunch at a restaurant.
Afternoon: After climbing more than 200 stone steps, you will visit and make offerings at Ha Temple, Trung Temple, Thuong Temple, Gieng Temple, Ngoc Well, and the Hung Kings’ Tomb. These are four sacred temples located around the Hung Kings’ Tomb area, each associated with its own historical story.
To reach Ha Temple, you need to climb more than 225 steps. According to legend, this was where the eldest son of Au Co and Lac Long Quan became king and established Van Lang at that time.
Gieng Temple is where the two princesses, Ngoc Hoa and Tien Dung—the daughters of the 18th Hung King—often looked at their reflections in the crystal-clear well water while combing their hair.
15:00 The group gets on the vehicle and returns to Hanoi.
Along the way, the group may stop to rest and buy local specialties as gifts for relatives and friends.
17:00 Arrive in Hanoi. End of the one-day Hung Temple tour. The guide bids you farewell and wishes you good health. See you again on our upcoming tours.
