Detailed itinerary
07:00 Our tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point. The group departs for Sóc Trăng to visit:
Tân Huê Viên Pia Cake Facility: tour the Pia Cake Production Line and shop for local cakes and confectionery.
Continue the journey via the South Hậu River to Long Phú, Sóc Trăng.
The group crosses Long Phú–Đại Ân 2 Ferry to cross the Hậu River and reach Cù Lao Dung District, then travels to An Thạnh Nam Commune—the last commune in Cù Lao Dung District, bordering the Trần Đề estuary. Along the way, admire sugarcane fields and garden farms, and listen to explanations of sites associated with legends from King Gia Long’s flight during the Nguyễn Dynasty, such as Long Ẩn Creek and Trường Tiền Creek...
Next, the group travels to An Thạnh Nam Commune to enjoy nipa palm fruit with honey.
Noon: Enjoy lunch featuring forest and seafood specialties, then rest at a garden house.
Afternoon: The group begins an exciting experiential journey in Cù Lao Dung…
Walk across a suspension bridge through the mangrove forest, admire fruit-laden nipa palms, listen to birdsong, and try your hand at catching mangrove clams and apple snails... Bring your catch back to prepare and enjoy delicious dishes. (Each guest receives 1 kg of mangrove clams; any additional amount will be charged by the kilogram.)
Observe wild monkeys and feed the adorable monkeys...
The group can go crab fishing, set crab traps, or row boats in the aquaculture ponds…
Row through the nipa palm forest, take a boat to the alluvial flats at the estuary, admire the nipa palm forest and beehives, and view the Trần Đề sea...
Depending on the tide, experience riding a “mong”—a means of transport used by local residents in the Trần Đề area to catch seafood beneath the forest canopy. Alternatively, cycle along village roads and visit Sân Tiên Farmstay.
