Detailed itinerary
HCMC - TAY NINH
Morning: The vehicle and tour guide pick up guests at the tour’s designated pick-up points and depart for the Tay Ninh - Ba Den Mountain pilgrimage tour. Guests admire the rice fields along both sides of the road and listen to an introduction about Thap Bat Phu Vien – the Eighteen Betel Garden Villages – the Iron Land of Cu Chi.
07:00 The group arrives in Trang Bang and stops for breakfast – enjoying the local specialty Trang Bang thick noodle soup.
09:00 The vehicle takes guests to the Ba Den Mountain scenic complex - the highest mountain in Southeastern Vietnam at 986m - via a modern cable car system, with Ba Den Station recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest station in the world. Here, guests can choose one of two cable car routes (cable car costs at guests’ own expense):
- Hang Pagoda cable car route (250,000 VND/person/round trip): takes visitors to the Ba Pagoda spiritual complex: at an altitude of 350 meters halfway up the mountain is a complex of caves and pagodas featuring both natural and man-made beauty, with many fascinating and mysterious legends, including Ba Pagoda, Hang Pagoda, Hoang Chung Cave, Trung Pagoda, New Pagoda, and more.
- Van Son cable car route (350,000 VND/person/round trip): takes guests to the mountaintop to hunt for clouds, check in at the 986m coordinate marker of the highest mountain in Southeastern Vietnam, and admire the panoramic view of Tay Ninh from above. In addition, visitors can pay homage to the tallest bronze Lady Buddha statue in Asia.
- In addition to the tallest bronze Lady Buddha statue in Asia, the summit of Ba Den Mountain has recently inaugurated and opened for visitors to worship the Great Maitreya Buddha statue, which is 36 m high, 45 m at its widest point, has a surface area of 4,651 m2, and weighs 5,112 tons. The statue is assembled from 6,688 natural sandstone blocks inspired by terraced fields. Behind and surrounding the Maitreya Bodhisattva statue is a 35m-high artificial waterfall, creating a majestic scene on the summit of Ba Den Mountain.
12:00 The vehicle takes guests to Com Nieu restaurant for lunch.
13:30 Continuing the program, the vehicle takes guests to visit the “Cao Dai Holy See,” considered the holy land of Cao Daism, a unique architectural complex, to learn about Cao Daism, a religion originating in Vietnam. Depending on the time, guests may go upstairs and attend the daily worship ceremony.
Continue visiting the Tay Ninh wild grape garden, one of the unique and attractive tourist destinations when coming to Tay Ninh. Located right at the foot of Ba Den Mountain, this wild grape garden in Tay Ninh is owned by Mr. Nguyen Van Thong. It has been known as an extremely popular Tay Ninh tourist attraction for many years. (Depending on the time, departures without grapes will be changed to another site)
15:00 The group continues to stop and visit Go Ken Pagoda in Tay Ninh, built on an area of about 7,200 m2, with architecture that harmoniously combines Eastern and Western styles, creating a feeling that is both ancient and modern. However, the most impressive feature at Thien Lam Pagoda in Tay Ninh is perhaps the statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva meditating under the lush Bodhi tree, standing upright in front of the courtyard at a height of 25m, on a 7m-high dragon.
Expected at 18:30 Guests arrive back in HCMC, and the vehicle takes the group back to the original pick-up point. End of the trip. The tour guide says goodbye and looks forward to seeing you again.
