Tour description
Tunis is one of North Africa’s most walkable capitals, where the UNESCO-listed medieval old quarter blends with elegant boulevards featuring French colonial architecture. Rich in history and renowned for its hospitality, it is the gateway to ancient Carthage and the vibrant heart of modern Tunisia. On this walking tour, a local guide will reveal both the city’s past and present.
You will pass through the historic Sea Gate, stroll through covered souks leading toward the Great Zitouna Mosque, and then walk along the tree-lined Avenue Habib Bourguiba. Along the way, you will learn about the Arab, Ottoman, French, and Berber influences that helped shape the city. Warm and steeped in history, Tunis is an ideal city to explore on foot.
