So, let’s take a quick trip to a place called Chim Islet in Quy Nhon. Known as a “miniature Mekong Delta” in the heart of Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh), Chim Islet Tourist Area is located in Vinh Quang 2 Hamlet, Phuoc Son Commune, Tuy Phuoc District, Binh Dinh. It is about 17 km from Quy Nhon city center. Covering 480 hectares, it is home to a mangrove forest system comprising three islets: Chim Islet, Trang Islet, and Gia Islet. Local residents say that this is a habitat for many different migratory bird species that come here to live. In particular, Chim Islet in Quy Nhon is likened to a “green lung” that regulates the local climate.
At Chim Islet, you can witness firsthand the simple daily lives of the residents of the Chim Islet community. More than 100 households live here, mainly earning their livelihoods through fishing and aquaculture. Life is always simple and peaceful, bringing a positive feeling to everyone who has the opportunity to visit. The fauna at Chim Islet includes species that can live for decades. As it is a mangrove forest, many species come here to shelter and reproduce. In addition, shrimp, crabs, and fish thrive in this environment, continuously reproducing and increasing in yield every year. Detailed itinerary
MORNING: PICK-UP AT THE MEETING POINT
07:30 – 08:00 The tour guide and driver will contact and pick up guests at private residences, offices, or hotels in Quy Nhon city center, departing for Phuoc Son to kick off the Con Chim Quy Nhon tour.
Pick-up notes:
- For guests staying at FLC RESORT (Nhon Ly): Surcharge of 100,000 VND/guest
- For guests staying at BAI XEP RESORT: Surcharge of 100,000 VND/guest
08:30 – 08:45 Arrive at Con Chim – a sanctuary for birds, storks, and marine flora and fauna. Visitors can admire flocks of birds returning to their nests after foraging and observe local fishermen catching shrimp and fish.
09:30 – 11:30 Experience SUP paddling on Thi Nai Lagoon at Con Chim with family and friends.
Capture memorable moments with stunning photos and footage taken by a professional photographer (Note: Private booking at 2,000,000 VND/group).
Groups of over 15 guests will receive a complimentary drone videography and photography package throughout the tour.
Experience pond fishing and trap-net fishing with fishermen from Phuoc Son fishing village.
NOON: REST AND LUNCH
11:30 – 12:00 Head to a restaurant in Phuoc Son to enjoy famous local specialties.
Enjoy Thi Nai Lagoon specialties.
13:00 Rest on-site or in the provided hammocks.
AFTERNOON: END OF TOUR
14:00 – 14:30 The motorboat will cruise around Con Chim, letting you observe flocks of storks perched on mangrove forests and shrimp ponds.
Return to the pier and transfer back to the original pick-up point.
