Tour description
Vang Vieng is one of the few places in Southeast Asia where you can fly in a hot-air balloon amid such spectacular limestone mountain scenery. At sunrise, gentle winds and mist drifting among the mountain peaks create stunning views.
A vehicle will pick you up early in the morning and take you to the launch site. The flight lasts approximately 30–40 minutes, depending on wind conditions, and passes over the town, the Nam Song River with its long-tail boats, rice fields, and villages at the foot of the mountains. The experienced pilot will introduce you to the scenery during the flight.
After landing, you will be taken to a riverside restaurant by the Nam Song River for breakfast and Lao coffee before returning to your hotel—with the rest of the day still free to continue exploring.

Detailed itinerary
Morning (05:30): Pick-up at your hotel and transfer to the launch site to watch the crew prepare the hot-air balloon.
06:15: Hot-air balloon flight over the Vang Vieng Valley (approximately 30–40 minutes, depending on the wind).
07:15: Landing, followed by a transfer to a riverside restaurant.
07:45: Breakfast and Lao coffee by the Nam Song River.
08:45: Transfer back to your hotel. 09:00: End of tour.
06:15: Hot-air balloon flight over the Vang Vieng Valley (approximately 30–40 minutes, depending on the wind).
07:15: Landing, followed by a transfer to a riverside restaurant.
07:45: Breakfast and Lao coffee by the Nam Song River.
08:45: Transfer back to your hotel. 09:00: End of tour.

Free cancellation with a 100% refund when notified at least 24 hours before departure. Cancellations made within 24 hours of departure are non-refundable. In the event of bad weather or attraction closures required by the authorities, we can help reschedule the tour or provide a full refund.

The tour is normally led by a local English-speaking guide; guides speaking Vietnamese, French, Chinese, Thai, and other languages can be requested (please notify us when booking, subject to guide availability).
Visa: International visitors need a Laos visa (apply for an e-visa online before the trip or obtain a visa at international airports and international border crossings); ASEAN citizens are exempt from visas according to regulations. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months.
Flights are weather-dependent; if canceled due to strong winds or rain, you may choose another flight date or receive a 100% refund. Not suitable for pregnant women or children under 6 years old. The price is per person, and bookings can be made for just 1 person.
