Detailed itinerary
07:00 Our tour guide will proactively call you 30 minutes prior to pickup to confirm the pickup location and time, as well as the necessary personal belongings and luggage for the trip.
Compared to other group tours from Da Nang, the 1-day Hue tour departs quite early because Hue is about 100 km from Da Nang, which takes nearly 2 hours by car. Therefore, guests booking the tour should make sure to sleep early and arrive at the meeting point on time so as not to miss or delay the general schedule.
08:00 The vehicle will begin its journey, taking you through the Hai Van Tunnel connecting Da Nang and Hue. This is also the longest road tunnel in Southeast Asia with a total length of about 6.6 km. Passing through, you can take the opportunity to admire the scenic views on both sides of the road before entering the tunnel.
Passing through Hai Van Tunnel, the vehicle will head straight into Thua Thien Hue Province. Appearing on your right is Lang Co Bay – known as one of the most beautiful and charming bays in the world. The vehicle will stop for about 15 minutes so everyone can rest, take commemorative photos, and admire the white sand beaches and crystal-blue sea.
09:00 After passing Lang Co Bay, the group will successively pass through two very famous tunnels in Hue: Phu Gia Tunnel and Phuoc Tuong Tunnel. Although not as grand in scale as Hai Van Tunnel, they still offer a very poetic feel. In particular, the tour guide will share with you the impressive historical legends of Tam Giang Lagoon and Truong Nha Ho.
10:00 The group officially arrives in the poetic city of Hue. The first destination the tour guide will take you to visit is Khai Dinh Tomb. Known as the most beautiful and majestic tomb complex among the remaining 7 royal tombs in Hue, it is the burial place of Emperor Khai Dinh, the penultimate emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty.
11:30 Leaving Khai Dinh Tomb, the whole group will move to the city center and have lunch at the 4-star restaurant Thao Nhi Mansion. Here, you will enjoy famous delicacies of Hue cuisine. It will surely be an interesting and novel experience. Afterwards, everyone will have about 30 minutes to rest at the restaurant.
13:00 The tour guide and everyone will board the vehicle to head straight to what can be considered the most famous and attractive relic in Hue: the Imperial City, also known as the Citadel of Hue. This was once the workplace and residence of 13 Nguyen Dynasty emperors and their royal family. The tour guide will explain in detail the history, the lives of the emperors, as well as the hidden mysteries of the royal court.
14:30 Leaving the Imperial City, the vehicle will take the group to visit a very famous landmark, a symbol of Hue: Thien Mu Pagoda. It is known that this pagoda was built about 400 years ago, during the reign of Lord Nguyen Hoang. Despite enduring countless upheavals and conflicts, Thien Mu Pagoda still retains almost its entire ancient charm, standing serenely beside the Perfume River.
While the tour guide leads the group on the visit, introducing the history and features of the pagoda, young travelers can take the opportunity to explore Phuoc Duyen Tower. The tower, with its 7-story octagonal design, surrounded by ancient structures nestled among lush green trees, accidentally creates an exceptionally beautiful view, promising memorable photos for social media.
15:30 The group will continue to nearby sights such as the Perfume River and Truong Tien Bridge, combined with a stroll to take in the street views. These are all historical witnesses and famous scenic spots that contribute to the beauty of poetic Hue.
If you wish to buy local specialties, you can request the driver and tour guide to stop by Dong Ba Market or specialty gift shops. Here, everyone can freely choose rustic gifts for their loved ones, such as sesame candy (me xung), tapioca dumplings (banh bot loc), sour shrimp paste, fermented pork roll (nem), tre, royal herbal tea, etc.
16:30 As the sun begins to set, it is time for the group to board the vehicle and return to Da Nang, concluding a fulfilling 1-day Hue tour.
18:30 The vehicle arrives in Da Nang. On behalf of the company, our tour guide sends thanks, says farewell, and looks forward to seeing you again on future trips.
