Detailed itinerary
Morning: Guests gather at the meeting point.
07:15 The bus departs from Saigon to My Tho. Guests stop for breakfast at Binh Chanh rest stop, then continue to My Tho city to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, followed by a transfer to Marina Wharf in My Tho city. Guests check in and board the boat to cruise along the Tien River, listening to introductions about the floating houses on the river, fish rafts, and the history of the four islets: Long, Lan, Quy, and Phung. Arriving at Thoi Son Islet — the largest and longest islet formed on the Tien River. Here, guests visit a fruit garden, observe honey bee colonies and learn how honey is harvested. Guests enjoy complimentary fragrant hot honey tea while listening to introductions about products made from honey, royal jelly, pollen… then stop to enjoy seasonal fruits and listen to Southern Vietnamese traditional folk music (Don Ca Tai Tu). Guests head to the boat dock to take a rowing boat — a three-plank sampan — along the canal bank beneath the cool shade of coconut palms to the river mouth. Guests board the larger boat to cross over to Ben Tre to visit a coconut candy factory, then travel by horse-drawn carriage or Labro vehicle to a garden-style restaurant for lunch. Guests relax in hammocks or take a stroll to visit the monkey bridge and crocodile pond... The boat takes guests back to the dock, where the tour guide provides commentary about Phung Islet and the story of the Coconut Monk...
Afternoon 15:00 the boat takes guests across the Tien River back to My Tho wharf, enjoying fresh Ben Tre coconut water right on the boat. Upon docking, guests board the bus to return to Ho Chi Minh City.
