Today, the Ho Chi Minh Highway is a new, low-traffic two-lane road cutting through the mountains, forests, and countryside of Central Vietnam – ideal for long cycling stretches. The tour passes through lands steeped in wartime history and the majestic landscapes of the Truong Son Range.
You will take a boat into Phong Nha Cave, enjoy a light rest day in Dong Hoi, visit the Demilitarized Zone around Dong Ha, and conclude in Hue with rural villages, former military bases, and coastal village beaches.

Detailed itinerary
Leave Hanoi, cycle along the Ho Chi Minh Highway through Cam Thuy to Ngoc Lac.
Cycle along the Chu River through forests and countryside.
Cycling through the hills and villages of Nghe An – Ha Tinh.
Cycle and transfer across the Truong Son Range to Phong Nha – Ke Bang.
Take a boat trip into Phong Nha Cave, enjoy a leisurely bike ride to Dong Hoi, and relax by the beach.
Cycle along the coastal road and through the rural villages of Quang Tri to Dong Ha.
Cycle to former military bases, villages, and beaches; tour ends in Hue.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations at least 30 days prior: 100% deposit refund. Cancellations between 15 and 29 days prior: 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days before departure: non-refundable. In cases of natural disasters, storms, floods, or landslides rendering routes unsafe, the itinerary will be adjusted or rescheduled.
Other notes
Minimum 2 guests, please book at least 1 week in advance. A support vehicle accompanies the tour at all times so guests can rest or transfer during long stretches. Good physical fitness and long-distance cycling experience are required. Price: 175 USD/person/day.
