Tour description
The Ha Giang Loop is one of the most scenic and challenging cycling routes in Vietnam. After two days traveling from Hanoi through Tuyen Quang to Ha Giang, you will climb up to Quan Ba Heaven Gate with the Twin Mountains, cycle through the Yen Minh pine forest, and conquer the Dong Van Karst Plateau – a UNESCO Global Geopark.
The highlight is Ma Pi Leng Pass overlooking the Nho Que River before descending into Meo Vac. The final days take you through Bao Lam and Ba Be Lake with Tay ethnic villages before returning to Hanoi.

Detailed itinerary
Transfer out of Hanoi, cycle through the midland countryside to Tuyen Quang.
Cycle along the Lo River through Tay villages to Ha Giang City.
Climb the slope to Quan Ba Heaven Gate, admire the Twin Mountains and terraced fields.
Cycle through pine forests, valleys, and H'mong villages to Yen Minh.
Traverse the Dong Van Karst Plateau, visit the Old Quarter, take in Ma Pi Leng Pass overlooking the Nho Que River, and descend to Meo Vac.
Descend the pass, travel along the Gam River to Bao Lam.
Cycle through the mountains and forests of Cao Bang – Bac Kan to Ba Be Lake.
Take a boat trip on Ba Be Lake, transfer back to Hanoi.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations at least 30 days prior: 100% deposit refund. Cancellations between 15 and 29 days prior: 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days before departure: non-refundable. In cases of natural disasters, storms, floods, or landslides rendering routes unsafe, the itinerary will be adjusted or rescheduled.
Other notes
Minimum 2 guests; please book at least 1 week in advance. A support vehicle is always on hand so guests can rest or take a ride on long stretches. Good physical fitness and long-distance cycling experience are required. Price: 175 USD/person/day. The route features many steep mountain passes and is suitable for experienced cyclists.
