Detailed itinerary

HANOI - NANG RIVER - BA BE LAKE (LUNCH, DINNER)

06:00 Our car and tour guide will pick you up at Hanoi Opera House. Depart for Bac Kan; the group will stop for breakfast along the way and participate in fun games organized by the tour guide on the bus.

12:00 Stop for lunch at a restaurant in Cho Ra town. After lunch, the group continues the journey to Ba Be.

14:00 Arrive at Ba Be boat dock to board a motorboat cruising down the Nang River into the lake (please bring all your luggage and personal belongings onto the boat).

14:30 Learn about the daily life of the Tay ethnic people, admire the primeval forests with many precious trees and wild animals living along both sides of the lake.

Continuing the journey, you will sit on a small boat, relaxing while taking in the lake scenery and finding great photo angles for yourself. On the lake, the boat will stop at famous attractions such as An Ma Temple, Fairy Pond, Widow Island,...
+ Fairy Pond (Ao Tien): Located in a corner of the third lake of Ba Be Lake, it is a small lake nestled among a mountain jutting high above the water's surface. Legend has it that in ancient times, fairies often sat here to play chess.
+ An Ma Temple: The temple is situated on a small mountain in the middle of the lake. Legend has it that during the Le - Mac feudal war, the generals of the Mac Dynasty were defeated, fled to Puong Cave, and committed suicide there. Admiring their loyalty, the locals built a temple to worship the Mac clan, but fearing that the Le Dynasty troops would discover and destroy it, they renamed it An Ma Temple. In the Tay ethnic language, the two words "An Ma" mean "peaceful and fine grave", the resting place of the loyal Mac subjects.
+ Widow Island (Dao Ba Goa) - a lovely small island located right in the center of the lake, closely tied to the legend of the lake's formation. The boat will cruise slowly around the island so you can take photos.

17:00 The boat stops at Pac Ngoi boat dock. You will disembark and head into the village. Check in to the homestay and rest.

19:00 Have dinner at the homestay with unique dishes prepared in the traditional style of the Tay ethnic people. Overnight stay at the homestay in Pac Ngoi - Ba Be.

20:00 You can request an additional cultural exchange program, featuring Then singing performances and bamboo pole dancing (nhay sap) of the Tay people, with unique songs and dances of this lyrical river region (at your own expense).

Overnight stay in Ba Be.
CAO BANG – BAN GIOC WATERFALL - NGUOM NGAO CAVE (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)

Morning: After breakfast, the vehicle and tour guide will pick you up to depart for Trung Khanh to visit Ban Gioc Waterfall.

12:00: Arriving at Ban Gioc, you will enjoy lunch at a restaurant with delicious local specialties. After lunch, continue your journey to visit Ban Gioc Waterfall. Standing 53 meters high and divided into 3 tiers, it is considered the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam and the largest in Southeast Asia. The waterfall also borders neighboring China, marked by the sacred landmark of national sovereignty.

Continuing the journey, you will visit Nguom Ngao Cave – one of the longest and most stunning caves in Vietnam, steeped in the rich legends of the Tay ethnic people, featuring countless breathtaking stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is located in Gun Village, Dam Thuy Commune, Trung Khanh District, Cao Bang Province, situated inside a mountain, 5 km from Ban Gioc Waterfall. According to a 1995 survey by the British Cave Research Association, this cave has a total length of 2,144 meters with 3 main entrances: Nguom Ngao, Nguom Lom, and Ban Thuon.

17:00: The vehicle transfers you back to Cao Bang to check in to your hotel.

19:30: Have dinner at a restaurant, then enjoy free time to stroll around, savor chestnuts and bánh trôi tàu (sweet ginger dumplings), and explore Cao Bang City at night.

Overnight at the hotel.
CAO BANG – LENIN STREAM – PAC BO CAVE - HANOI (BREAKFAST, LUNCH)

06:30 The group wakes up and checks out of the hotel.

Afterward, the vehicle and tour guide pick up the group for breakfast. After breakfast, the group departs to visit Lenin Stream and Pac Bo Cave. Here, you will visit the residence and workplace of President Ho Chi Minh during the resistance years from 1941 to 1945, take commemorative photos at Lenin Stream - Karl Marx Mountain, visit Coc Bo Cave, and take photos at Kilometer 0 of the Ho Chi Minh Highway.

On the way back to Cao Bang City, if time permits, the vehicle will stop for you to visit the Kim Dong Tomb Relic Site and learn about the story of the young hero Nong Van Den (known as Kim Dong).

Uncle Ho chose Coc Bo Cave because from the cave there was a path leading across the border, and at the foot of the mountain, a stream flowed across. Looking at the stream, Uncle Ho told everyone: “I just had a great idea; our stream is so beautiful, clear as turquoise, and originates right here, so let's name it Lenin Stream. And the majestic mountain behind it, on the right, we will call Karl Marx Mountain...”

12:00 Have lunch at a restaurant in Cao Bang.

13:30 The group boards the bus to return to Hanoi.

19:45 Arrive in Hanoi, concluding the 3-day 2-night Cao Bang Tour. On behalf of the company, our tour guide expresses thanks, bids farewell, and looks forward to seeing you again on future tours.
