Detailed itinerary

Ho Chi Minh City – Bac Lieu

Our vehicle and tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point. Overnight on the vehicle.
BAC LIEU – AN GIANG (Breakfast, lunch)

Morning: The group arrives in Bac Lieu and visits Tac Say Church (Father Diep Church), associated with a famous figure—Father Truong Buu Diep, a priest regarded as a saint because of his sacredness by those who believe and pray. The church is also home to the Phanxicô Missionary Center of the Diocese. Visitors can visit and pay their respects at the tomb of Father Phaxico Xaviê Truong Buu Diep, experiencing the solemn and sacred atmosphere of this place.

Guests have breakfast at a restaurant. Afterward, the group sets out to visit:

- Quan Am Buddha Pagoda, a prominent spiritual and cultural site in Bac Lieu Province, featuring an 11-meter-tall statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (also known as Nam Hai Guanyin or Mother Nam Hai). The statue stands majestically in an open space facing the East Sea, embodying compassion as it watches over and blesses local residents who make their living from seafaring and offshore fishing.

- Continue to Bac Lieu Truc Lam Zen Monastery, which is not only a vivid spiritual symbol but also a monumental architectural and artistic structure, creating a solemn worship space for Buddhist followers in the center of Soc Trang City.

- Visit Xiem Can Pagoda, the most beautiful century-old Khmer pagoda in Bac Lieu. The pagoda is an architectural complex comprising many structures, including surrounding walls, a three-entrance gate, the main hall, a sala, a bell tower, ornamental pillars, a stupa cemetery, monks’ resting quarters, a lecture hall, and more. All the structures clearly reflect traditional Angkor Khmer style and face the same direction: east. The most prominent structure in the Xiem Can Pagoda complex is the main hall, featuring a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, murals, bas-reliefs, soaring tower spires, curved roofs, and exquisite carvings adorned with numerous decorative patterns. It is an artistic masterpiece that captivates many visitors.

Noon: The group has lunch at a restaurant, enjoying rustic dishes from the Mekong Delta region.

Afternoon: Arrive in Chau Doc City and complete hotel check-in procedures.

Evening: Guests are free to visit Ba Chua Xu Temple, a famous pilgrimage site in Chau Doc and an important spiritual and historical relic of An Giang. It is also a beautiful and solemn religious structure in the Mekong Delta. Ba Chua Xu is renowned for her sacredness and for granting devotees’ wishes. Visitors to Ba Chua Xu Temple come with their own hopes: some pray for wealth and prosperity, others for health and peace for themselves and their loved ones, while some pray for their families to always love one another and live happily.

After making offerings at Ba Chua Xu Temple, you can also visit nearby pagodas such as:

- Tay An Ancient Pagoda, which is not only valuable for its unique ancient architectural artistry but also preserves many beautiful cultural and religious values associated with the reclamation and settlement efforts of the people of An Giang in the past. The surrounding natural scenery is exceptionally beautiful and picturesque, delighting visitors who come to pay their respects and helping them feel relaxed.

- Thoai Ngoc Hau Mausoleum, also known as Son Lang, the only architectural work from the Nguyen Dynasty that remains intact to this day. This imposing and magnificent structure is highly valuable in terms of culture, history, and architecture, serving as a historically significant relic for the Chau Doc–An Giang region in particular and Vietnam as a whole.

Guests arrange dinner at their own expense. Overnight in Chau Doc
Sam Mountain Cable Car Tourist Area - Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast, lunch)

Morning: The group has breakfast, then checks out.

Visit the Sam Mountain Cable Car Tourist Area (round-trip cable car ticket included): Conquer the summit of Sam Mountain via the 900-meter-long cable car route, manufactured using Austrian technology.

See firsthand the place where the Lady once appeared.

Admire the panoramic view of Chau Doc City and famous landmarks such as the Seven Mountains, Hang Pagoda, and the endless greenery of the trees.

Explore the classic European architecture of Sam Mountain Station, offering you the perfect backdrop for glamorous photos.

Visit attractions such as the station, cable car towers, One Pillar Pagoda, Medicine Buddha Temple, Guanyin Buddha Temple, and Jade Buddha Statue. From the cable car, visitors can enjoy a “cloud-riding” experience while viewing the vast rice fields and pagodas from above. Enjoying the refreshing high-altitude air helps dispel worries and relax after long days of work.

Noon: The group has lunch at a restaurant, then departs for Ho Chi Minh City. On the way back, stop at a rest area to relax and buy famous local specialties as gifts, such as fermented fish sauce, palm sugar, and Vietnamese pork sausage.

Expected arrival in Ho Chi Minh City at 7:00 PM, concluding the 2-day, 2-night Chau Doc - Bac Lieu Tour. Our tour guide, on behalf of the company, sends you our thanks, wishes you good health, and looks forward to seeing you again on future journeys!
