Tour description
Arequipa is a city best discovered through its flavors, and on this walking tour, a knowledgeable local food guide will lead you through markets, food-filled streets, and the traditional culinary customs that have shaped life here. Rather than focusing on monuments, this stroll centers on the flavors, aromas, and stories surrounding everyday meals.
You’ll walk through the central market among produce and spice stalls, discover where locals buy bread, cheese, and sweets, and hear about the dishes and drinks that define Arequipa. Along the way, your guide will share the history of the city’s cuisine and the best local specialties you should seek out. Fragrant and deeply rooted in local culture, this is Arequipa through a culinary lens.
