Tour description
Although not as famous as other tourist destinations, Hà Nam Province is still loved by many visitors for its natural beauty, numerous historical architectural works, and spiritual tourism. The Tam Chuc Pagoda complex is located in Ba Sao Town, Kim Bang District, Hà Nam Province. Today, Tam Chuc Pagoda is known as one of the largest pagodas in the world. Tam Chuc Pagoda offers visitors a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, along with poetic scenery: a vast lake in front, surrounded by limestone mountains and lush natural forests. Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda (also known as Dung Pagoda) is located in Ninh Trung Hamlet, Liem Son Commune, Thanh Liem District. Viewed from afar, the entire pagoda complex appears to be nestled amid lush green pine forests. Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu is becoming a distinctive highlight of spiritual tourism in Hà Nam.

Detailed itinerary
MORNING: DEPARTURE FROM HANOI – TAM CHUC PAGODA [Lunch]
06:30 Guests gather at the meeting point in Hanoi (for groups taking a private tour, the vehicle will pick up and drop off guests at the requested location), then depart for Ha Nam. Along the Hanoi–Ninh Binh Expressway, the vehicle will stop en route for the group to have breakfast (at their own expense), use the restroom, or adjust their attire before entering the pagoda.
09:00 Arrive at Tam Chuc Pagoda. The group boards a boat (the price includes the electric vehicle ride on the way out) to enter the pagoda grounds. This is a sacred pagoda built with thousands of stone paintings meticulously and carefully assembled by the skillful hands of experienced artisans.
The 12,000 stone paintings depicting stories of the Buddha were carved by Indonesian Muslims from volcanic stone in Indonesia and then transported to Vietnam. In addition, Tam Chuc Pagoda features a massive Scripture Pillar Garden with 1,000 stone pillars, each 12 meters high and weighing 200 tons.
The sightseeing itinerary at Tam Chuc Pagoda is as follows:
- Tam Chuc Boat Pier
- Tam Chuc Communal House
- Three-Gate Entrance
- Scripture Pillar Garden
- Quan Am Hall
- Phap Chu Hall
- Ngoc Pagoda
12:00 The group has lunch and rests at the restaurant.
For lunch, guests can dine at the restaurant inside the pagoda, which offers a buffet with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, or enjoy Ha Nam’s delicious cuisine at restaurants outside the pagoda grounds.
AFTERNOON: DIA TANG PHI LAI PAGODA – RETURN TO HANOI
NOTE: The road to Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu is only wide enough for one 35- or 45-seat vehicle. During peak periods, traffic congestion may easily occur. The company will announce itinerary changes depending on the situation. Guests may choose Phat Quang Pagoda (which has beautiful architecture and is up to 70% similar to Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda) or Bau Pagoda, the largest and most historic pagoda in Ha Nam.
13:00 The group departs to visit Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu Pagoda, a famous, beautiful, and tranquil pagoda in Ha Nam.
14:00 Upon arrival, the group visits the pagoda grounds and takes in the scenery, allowing themselves to immerse in the breeze and enjoy peaceful moments away from life’s worries.
16:30 The group boards the vehicle and returns to Hanoi. On the way back, the vehicle will stop for guests to purchase Ha Nam specialties for their loved ones.
18:00 Arrive in Hanoi. The tour guide bids farewell and looks forward to welcoming guests on future journeys. The tour ends.
