Detailed itinerary
07:00 The vehicle and tour guide pick up the group at the designated meeting point and begin the 1-day Tam Chuc tour. Tam Chuc Pagoda is located in Ba Sao Town, Kha Phong Commune, Kim Bang District, Ha Nam Province, more than 60 km from central Hanoi.
09:00 The group arrives at Tam Chuc Pagoda, and the tour guide will lead everyone to visit the areas one by one. During the tour, the guide will introduce the group to the key highlights and historical events related to the pagoda.
Tam Chuc Pagoda is divided into the following 5 main areas:
- Thuy Dinh Tam Chuc Guest House, featuring vivid paintings depicting panoramic views of the pagoda.
- Tam Chuc Pagoda, the most important area, which has been restored to be exceptionally solemn with thousands of stone-carved murals.
- The Sutra Pillar Garden, where 200-ton pillars have been erected, along with a grand walkway leading to the 3 main shrines.
- Quan Am Shrine and Tam The Shrine, places of worship dedicated to sacred Buddhas who bring salvation to humanity.
- Phap Chu Shrine – Ngoc Pagoda, perched atop That Tinh Mountain; to reach here, visitors must conquer 299 stone steps.
12:00 The group has lunch at a local restaurant featuring Ha Nam specialties such as mountain goat meat, "chim to dan" (various wild birds), Ba Sao sang vegetables, Tam Chuc mullet, etc. After lunch, everyone rests at the restaurant.
Afternoon: The group is free to sightsee, explore, and take check-in photos around the Tam Chuc Pagoda area. Afterwards, board the vehicle to return to Hanoi. On the way back, the vehicle will stop at a shop selling Ha Nam specialties so visitors can purchase gifts.
