Tour description
A classic Vespa is the most stylish way to explore Hanoi, and on this morning tour, your scooter will take you to areas that tourist buses cannot reach. We leave the Old Quarter for the Red River—riding along the motorcycle lane of Long Bien Bridge, built in 1902—then loop through riverside residential areas and farmland beyond the dyke, where the city suddenly takes on a rural character.
After crossing back over the bridge, we head to Truc Bach, the lake where John McCain’s plane crashed in 1967, then circle West Lake, passing Tran Quoc Pagoda and lotus ponds, before stopping at a lakeside café. The route stays outside the area restricting petrol-powered motorbikes in the Old Quarter, so the tour operates every day of the week.

Other notes
Safety: you travel as a passenger (riding pillion)—guests never drive themselves. All drivers are experienced local residents, hold Vietnamese driving licences, and do not drink alcohol during the tour (Vietnam has a zero-tolerance policy for drinking and driving). Each scooter carries one guest as required by law; parents may travel with one child under 12.
Standard helmets (properly fastened) and rain ponchos are provided. Personal accident insurance is included.
The minimum age to ride separately behind a driver is 6. Please wear closed-toe shoes and let us know if you have back or neck problems or are pregnant.
The route avoids 11 streets in the Old Quarter where petrol-powered motorbikes are prohibited on Friday evenings and weekends; on these days, the pickup point may be on the edge of the restricted area.
Long Bien Bridge may close for repairs; if so, we will cross the Red River via Chuong Duong Bridge.
