Tour description
Everyone wants to ride a cyclo in Hanoi, and everyone has heard stories about arguing over the price at the end of the ride. This tour solves that problem: the cyclo ride is booked through a licensed operator on an official route in the Old Quarter, the fixed price is included in the tour, and you do not need to negotiate anything.
We start at Dong Xuan Market and spend about an hour traveling through the “36 streets” — Hang Bac Street, known for silver goods; Hang Ma Street, where paper offerings are sold; and Hang Thiec Street, specializing in tinware — while a guide walks alongside and explains how each street was once home to craftspeople from the same village who practiced the same trade. Then we walk: entering a restored tube house, visiting Bach Ma Temple (the oldest temple in the Old Quarter), passing through Quan Chuong Gate and small communal houses where craft guilds worship their trade ancestors, and finishing with a cup of coffee by Hoan Kiem Lake.
